Crowle Cemetery and Chapels officially opened in 1862 and is owned by the Town Council. It is run by the Cemetery Manager, Emma Von Sembach.

How much and how to apply?
Anyone wishing to buy a plot will complete a form to apply for the type of plot they would like. Applications are sent to the Cemetery Manager at rfo@crowleandealandcouncil.org. The fees for plots can be found below. Please note that residents’ fees are applicable only to valid residents at the time of application.

Please familiarise yourself with the Rules and Regulations, so understand what is permitted and what is not permitted within the cemetery and on individual plots.
Adding a Memorial
After around 6 months, you may wish to consider adding a memorial to your plot. This may be a headstone or a kerb-set. These must be fitted by a NAMM/BRAMM certified mason and in accordance with the regulations. As owners of the plot, you will be liable for any maintenance and repairs of the memorial.
Who Owns the Plot and Ongoing Care
The individual who purchases the plot is the legal owner. In time, ownership will need to be transferred to ensure a living owner is responsible for the plot. This can be done with a simple transfer of deeds to a next of kin. The application for this can be found below. A nominal fee is charged and is detailed in the Grave Ownership document.
