Annual Parish Meeting

The Annual Parish Meeting is a meeting of the Parish to discuss matters relevant to the community. The agenda is released by the Town Clerk seven days prior to the meeting and the Clerk also normally takes the minutes.

Welcome to Crowle & Ealand Town Council Website

Crowle & Ealand Town Council meet each second and fourth Tuesday of every month, unless notified otherwise. Public are welcome to attend the meetings and kindly requested to contact the Town Clerk on 01724 710020 should they require any information or assistance.

MEETING UPDATE: The Annual Parish Meeting 2021 is cancelled due to COVID-19. The Annual Meeting will be brought forward by one week, from Tuesday 11th May to Tuesday 4th May to comply with the legal requirements for the holding remote meetings.

Subsequent meetings will remain virtual until 22nd June 2021 when restrictions will hopefully permit physical meetings.

Community Awards

The annual community awards are held every year. Voting takes place between Feb – Apr with the trophy presentation being the first public order of business for the new presiding mayor.

The following awards are presented:

The Dr John Bruce Trophy. Dr John Bruce was a prominent member of the community, serving 19 years as the GP at Crowle Medical Centre.  He had much respect for the people of this Town and wanted to dedicate an award to show appreciation and recognition of Outstanding Voluntary Contribution To The Community by any Group or Individual throughout the year.

Community Young Volunteer of the Year Award. This award recognises and celebrates the young people of our community who have volunteered their time and effort throughout the year to make positive impact and change.

The Norman Arrand Award for Best Business. Norman Arrand was a long serving, dedicated councillor who continuously and tirelessly worked to better Crowle & Ealand.  He believed ’keeping it local’ was a priority and embraced local businesses at every opportunity.  This award is to honour Norman’s ethos by recognising and acknowledging local businesses that have brought a valued service to this town throughout the year.

Sports Achievement Award. This award recognises the time, dedication and effort given by anyone involved in any sport within Crowle & Ealand throughout the year.  Sport is a vital foundation of life which promotes positive physical and mental health & well-being and instils a strong sense of pride within the community.

Community Emergency Plan

In the event of an community emergency, Crowle & Ealand Town Council will engage the Community Emergency Plan. This document outlines what, when, who and how assistance will be actioned. If you live or work within Crowle & Ealand and feel that you have skills or equipment that could be utilised in an emergency, please complete the attached form or contact the Town Clerk.

If you have a particular role, skill or piece of equipment that could help our Town in an emergency, for example you own a trailer, generator or pump or you are a nurse, engineer or proficient map reader and would be prepared to be contacted for assistance, please click the link below and complete the online Community Emergency Response form stating what help you can offer.
