It is with great sadness that I have to inform you all that Councillor Norman Arrand has passed away. Norman was a long-serving Councillor who was a highly valued and much loved member of this Council and will be truly missed by all.

Our thoughts are with his wife Glenys, his family and friends at this sad time.

Applying for a Burial

We understand that this is a difficult time for anyone to deal with. With hopes of making things as easy as possible, please see the stages below to assist you.

The Burials Officer, Mrs Emma Von Sembach is in office on Mondays 9am – 1pm. Appointment booking is advisable at this stage.

When you consider the Funeral Directors, please be advised that any Memorial Mason/Fixer must be registered on the National Association of Memorial Masons (NAMM) Register in order to be permitted to carry out any works in Crowle Cemetery. You can use the link below to check the register:


Step 1: Complete and return the Application for Burial below:

Step 2: Contact Emma to book your appointment to complete the legal paperwork, plot allocation and relevant payments.

Step 3: The service is organsied and conducted by the family/funeral director.

Step 4: The memorial specification and installation date are confirmed by the Funeral Director.

Your details will permenately be retained on the Council memorial database. This information is required to contact you in the event of any safety issues, memroial damage, cemetery works etc. that may affect your memorial. These details will not be shared.

Changes to bin/box collection dates over the festive period…

During the festive period your bin and box collection dates may change due to the way the bank holidays fall this year.

Tuesday collections (Christmas Eve) will be collected one day earlier on Monday 23rd December
Wednesday collections (Christmas Day) will be collected one day earlier on Tuesday 24th December (Christmas Eve)
Thursday collections will be collected one day later on Friday 27th December
Friday collections will be collected one day later on Saturday 28th December

Tuesday collections (New Year’s Eve) will be collected one day earlier on Monday 30th December on
Wednesday collections (New Year’s Day) will be one day earlier on Tuesday 31st December (New Year’s Eve)

Garden waste bins will not be collected from Monday 16th December to Friday 10th January. Brown bin collections will start again week commencing Monday 13th January.

Your collection calendar will show which days each of your bins and boxes will be collected. If you don’t have a collection calendar, you can check the dates online at www.northlincs.gov.uk/collectiondates

Household Recycling Centres will be closed Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Year’s Day.
