People that can help…

This is a very scary time for many of our community with numerous reports from other comminuties of unscrupulous people taking advantage by offering false help to the elderly and vunerable people. We urge you all, should you accept help from anyone, please ensure that these are trustworthy people and not fall victim to vile scammers! Ideally ask a reliable, known friend or neighbour to help.

Here is a list of places locally that you can turn to for help and services:

Radio Huimberside – Make a Difference. Aiming to connect people who can help, with people that need help. For example, you contact them to say you can’t get hold of certain medicine or household item and they put out a request for anyone local that may have the item and can donate to you. Vice versa – you call in to donate items for those that need them.
